UV-Clarifiers, UV Sterilizers are used to kill algae along with some disease organisms in the garden pond. The pond water is either pumped fast flows through UV-Clarifiers or is pumped slower through UV-Sterilizers.  Garden pond UV-Sterilizers kills 99% of floating algae as well as other living organisms. UV's do not however harm the beneficial bacteria that grow in water fall filters and on rocks, etc. in the garden pond.  They kill the organisms that are floating in the garden pond water.
